LivenUp 501c3 was formed by Nanci Williams and Mike Bohrer as a way to enrich the lives of low-income students, while at the same time lifting up local performing arts organizations.
The money we raise goes to performing arts tickets, student transportation and chaperones. It’s a win for both the kids and the arts.
For the kids
Students get to experience live performing arts — most for the first time.
The science is in. Children who experience live performing arts as part of their education are more literate, more empathetic, and more self-confident.
For the arts
Arts groups get ticket sales at full face value that count towards their earned income ratio — not a donation. They also get the opportunity to inspire a new generation of life-long arts lovers.
